This year we spent the 4th at a friends house! We had a potluck BBQ & played games & visited. I had giant swollen cankles, but luckily it wasn't too hot. It will be fun next year to have Alec around to enjoy the holiday with too. It sure makes it easier to be away from family when you have such great friends to get together with!

That is a perfect 4th of July - relaxing in the back yard with friends. I'm kind of glad Alec didn't come on the 4th. Much better on the 11th!
