Adam's Birthday cake

I asked Adam what kind of cake he wanted and he said he wanted an Ice cream cake for his birthday, so we went out to get one for him. First we stopped at Dairy Queen - which I think have the best ice cream cakes- but they didn't really have a lot to choose from, so then we decided to go to Baskin Robbins. We started to look at all the cakes and see what flavors/ sizes they had and an employee just couldn't help but stand over us as we were making our selection. So I kindly said, "Thanks for your suggestions, we will go ahead and decide which one we want and then let you know". Apparently to him, this meant Tell me you life story and ask private questions. So we felt super awkward and I was counting down the time to when we would leave, but after we decided what cake we wanted, he asked if we would want anything written on it. So we said sure- write: Happy Birthday Adam!

I don't think our expectations were too high, but we definitely had to hold in the laughter until we walked out of the store. Here's why:

Maybe we liked that he used yellow for the first letter and the exclamation point. Maybe we liked his handwriting. Maybe we were wondering why he is allowed to write on the cakes. Or Maybe we had unrealistic expectations thinking the writing would look slightly better.

Good Quality.

Adam's Birthday

Adam's Birthday was in July- can you tell I am behind in the blog world?- and we had a lot of fun!

In the Morning we went golfing, then we came back for a yummy breakfast & opened presents! Later that night we went to dinner at Red Robin (Thanks Lacey) and then we went to see Transformers 2!

I Love Adam and think he is the greatest so I hope he had a wonderful birthday!

Miniature Golf

We went to play mini golf for date night awhile ago. I really had my hopes up that I would win but after the 5th hole those hopes went down the drain. It was still a fun night & I always love the chance to hang out with Adam!

GEORGIA IN JULY

LOTS OF PICTURES FOR LOTS OF FUN!

So, after a quick trip down to see Rich & kelly, we had a blast spending time with all of the P* family and having the time of our lives!

This first picture is pretty funny. We got in really late and there were a lot of people at Mike & Audra's home, so they were kind enough to let us sleep in their bed the first night. We woke up in the morning to Josh running in the room, but as soon as he saw me in their bed he didn't know what to do and was SO SAD. He went into their bathroom and sat there like this for probably 20 minutes until he found Audra. Just look at his lower lip. So cute.

Later that day we took a ride to the GA mountains and went on 2 hikes, had a wonderful lunch/picnic, and swam in the waterfalls and ponds. We had a blast and it was so green everywhere!

On the fourth of July we woke up early and went to play Softball with Jessi & Dave's ward. We had a blast and I played left field. I played pretty well and was proud of one big catch, I hit the ball every time I went up to bat, and I scored a few runs! We had a lot of fun getting out and playing.

Later that night we went to the G* compound and played games, ate great food, swam, enjoyed a wonderful program and fireworks!

All the adults!
On Sunday after church, we drove by the Atlanta, GA temple and it was gorgeous!
Chloe is such a sweetie and just has the cutest smile!
The next day we went to the lake for a day of fun! I tried to wake board and was unsuccessful... but Adam went for it and did great! Here are some of the kiddos swimming around.

We also were able to celebrate Adam's birthday with everyone! Look at this yummy cake Audra made! It was so good!

On our last day we were definitely not ready to leave yet.
We drove into Atlanta and went to the Aquarium there. It was so fun to see all the different animals and we had a great time!

Off to the Airport... Hopefully we will get to be back soon!

Thanks to Jessi & Audra & Abbi for planning such a fun trio and thanks to Mel & Michelle for flying us out to be there with everyone! We loved our trip!

RICH & KELLY

In July, we went down to July to have a p* family reunion! The first day that we flew in, we drove down to visit Rich & kelly and their 4 boys for 2 days then we picked Adam's parents up from the airport and drove to Adam's sister's homes. We went swimming, went to dinner, went to the base were JR works, and got to see the new addition to Rich & Kelly's family to make 4 boys!

The fireworks show on the base.

Adam & I with JR & 3 of his 4 boys.

This is the hospital on the base that J.R. works at. I think he still has 2 more years in his residency in GA.

Hopefully we will get to visit them again soon!
