1 month

So - they are pretty much the same photo, but I couldn't decide so I put them both up. Adam's Mom made this beautiful quilt for the little guy and we LOVE it! It looks awesome in his room and I love the mix of colors and patterns. We went to look for the fabric awhile back and it was so fun to mix and match the different fabrics to come up with this. I think we will take all of his monthly pictures with the quilt to document how much he will grow this first year!

So far- Alec loves to stare at stripes, high contrast patterns, the stars and wall decor I have above his changing table, and his stuffed animal Zebra.
When he is really asleep he takes a deep breath and kind of lets out a high pitched squeal that is so funny and so cute. He also plays with his tongue a lot. He sticks it out and copies what you do and it is fun to see him interact with us.

He is a pretty good sleeper and usually wakes up about once in the middle of the night to eat, but this past week he has slept from 11 pm to 7 am like 5 times. AWESOME!
He smiles at us and smiles a ton when Adam is holding him. He loves his Daddy! He "talks" to us and its already neat to hear him express what he is feeling. You can tell how he is feeling by what noises he is making.
He sighs and coo's when he is happy and he grumbles when he is tired or upset.
I love it when he smiles at me while I talk to him or sing to him. He makes a happy noise that sounds more like a yelp, but it is so cute.

We read books to him and if he is happy then he pays attention really well.

He is so fun to have around and we are loving being parents!

He is so cute, Hey did you ever get the gift we sent? We actually sent it to your old address but hoped it would catch up to you. Just wondering. Hope all is going well for you new parents. It's a ball that you could have never imagined, uh?

Alec is getting taller and taller! His hair remains the same - sometimes up and sometimes down. I wish I could be there to talk with him! I can just imagine those little sounds he makes.
