I love love love love love this photo! This is my beautiful cousin Stephanie & she got married last August and had me come photograph her wedding and I had such a blast at her wedding. It was so easy to photograph them and she has great taste and is so beautiful!Next week i am going to do a relief society class on photography and I wanted to see what people might be interested in learning? Have any suggestions for me?

I wish I could come to your class!
Things I would like to learn are:
*What is the best lighting? How do you capture it?
*What are some tips for getting good images indoors?
*What do you look for in choosing good backgrounds?
*Are there any basic rules for composition?
Maybe you can forward us all what you come up with. I bet there is a lot you could teach us.
I want to learn how I can get a really great camera for cheap!
As far as skills go, I don't know A THING about photography so I don't even know what I need to learn about.
It seems that many people don't think about/realize all the extra stuff that they are taking a picture of. For example, sometimes when a family picture is taken--the family is the size of a quarter in the middle of the picture!! So, maybe teach them that what they see in the camera window or on the screen is what they are going to get, and that the closer they can get to the object of the picture--the better!! (We usually don't care to see people's knees as much as we do their face :)
One more thing that always bothered me before I learned is that especially when there were two objects that I was trying to take a picture of (ex. two people) they'd come back blurry. I was soooo enthralled when I learned that it was because the camera was focusing on where it was pointing--between the two objects!! And that in order to have the two objects in focus you need to actually focus the camera on one of the objects, hold the focus, and then point the camera between the two. Anyway, you can probably explain it better than that!!
I'm sure you'll be great. That picture of your cousin is gorgeous!!
I'd start with basic principles, the things that always apply when you take a picture.
I'm so sad I couldn't make it and I REALLY wanted to! You'll have to fill me in some time :) You take gorgeous pictures!
