3rd Anniversary!

In April we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. I am so grateful to be married to Adam. He is so fun to be around and I cannot express my love and appreciation for him enough & how our love continues to grow. Marriage is an absolute blessing & he is my perfect match.

To celebrate, we did our traditional dinner at Outback Steakhouse (where we went on our first date) and then that weekend we had a picnic at a nearby park in Knoxville. Later that night we went to a friends house (who let us use their fire pit) and roasted Marshmallows. It was a perfect anniversary & I look forward to all the many to come!

Blake's home!

In May, I took a quick trip to Colorado for Blake's homecoming! He served in the Minneapolis, Minnesota mission & we are glad to have him home!

Spring Blossoms

I didn't get chance to take a lot of photos this spring when all of the blossoms were out. My allergies went wild and I could barely stand being outside for more than 10 minutes, but I did happen to get this photo and thought I would share it. The trees were so beautiful!

Girls weekend!

My first quilt block!

In April, I joined Adam's sisters for a fun Girl's weekend in Bryson City, NC. We stayed at a beautiful cabin for the weekend & enjoyed reading, watching General Conference, yummy food, a little hike, and making a surprise quilt for Adam's Mom. It was my first experience with quilting, but it was a lot of fun! I was lucky enough to have them help me out. We gave Adam's Mom the quilt at our family reunion in June & it was so fun to see her open it! It was such a fun weekend & I couldn't be luckier to have them as my in-laws!

Summer Fun!

The Hinckley Brothers Band
We have already started this summer right! We went to a free concert that the Hinckley Brothers put on (they are Mormon brothers & pretty popular around here). It was so fun! They had a bounce castle/slide & a wood pirate ship for the kids to play on & everyone got a free snow cone & a funnel cake per family. They were great and it was a fun night out!

Enjoying the Music with Josie & Taylor & their Kids!

At the UT Baseball game with Josie & Taylor & their kids!
Before the UT baseball season was over, we took advantage of free entrance to the games & went with some of our friends! It was fun to get out & watch the game, but UT didn't do so well. They played great for the first 3 innings, then they got creamed by the other team. Either way, it was still fun to get out & watch a game!

At another UT game!

First maternity photo

Tonight, we had just enough time to take a few photos of me in my pregnant state. We just went outside our front door into this beautiful side yard of the house next to us. I am hoping to take some more photos sometime, but I love how this one turned out. I just showed Adam a photo of something I liked and had him snap away! I taught him everything he knows :)
I think it turned out pretty cute. I am 33 weeks & with only 7 more to go, we have been trying to gather all of the last things we need and get ready for this kiddo to join us. Thanks again to my sweet husband for taking this photo & being patient with me. I love him.

Intramural Basketball

One of the things I miss about being in Provo at BYU, are the intramural sports. Usually during a semester i would be playing on 3 different teams/leagues/ or sports & I LOVED it. Unfortunately at UT you have to be a student to play & it doesn't help that my stomach is beginning to resemble a basketball, but it was still fun to watch Adam play basketball. He was on two different teams with his MBA program. One of them was Co-ed and the other was this team. They had a pretty good season & luckily we took this photo after an awesome last minute win, but they didn't end up making it to the championship. I am just glad these other guys humored me in letting me take a quick picture!

RODEO!

Awhile back, one of our friends heard that there would be a bull-riding competition at the UT arena, so we all went for a fun night! I am always so nervous that the bull-riders are going to get hurt. It seems like an odd sport to get into, and a little dangerous, but it was entertaining!

Pudding

Don't you love it when right after you clean the kitchen, you do something like this & get pudding everywhere? All I could do was laugh.

Fontana Village, NC

In February, we got to go to Fontana village for a weekend trip & stay at a nice cabin for FREE! Adam was working on a project for the county, so they had us come so he could go to some meetings and see the area. It was a really nice place, but I could understand the reason they wanted Adam to do the project for them. They want to see what they could do to add more "wintery" activities to the area to draw a crowd. It is a fun place in the summer, but there wasn't much for me to do while he was in his meetings. I enjoyed reading & relaxing, but I am thinking they should have an indoor pool...
Our first night at the cabin, there wasn't any power until just before we went to bed, so we started a little fire to give us a little light & heat.
The second night we started a fire, just because it is fun!

Outside of the cabin we stayed in!

On one of the Dam's at night- it was beautiful!

A baby boy will join us sometime around July 10.
We couldn't be happier!
I am 28 weeks and doing great!

It's that time again...

These are our brackets from last year! Adam & I filled out our brackets separately, but in the end we had the exact same amount of games that we got right and wrong! What are the chances of that happening again. Wish us luck this year! We got our brackets from the internet... so if you haven't filled yours out yet... print one off!

TN football

Tennessee football is serious business out here. We were lucky enough to be able to go to most of the home games last fall. They were a lot of fun to go to- I learned the song "rocky top", enjoyed the warm fall weather, & got to see an SEC team play! Although TN didn't do so hot this past season, we loved going to the games.

Nashville Trip

A few months ago we took advantage of a ward temple trip into Nashville. Its about a 2.5- 3 hr. drive, but it is also one of the closest temples so its worth the drive to get there. It was my first time in a small temple, but it was just as beautiful as any. (You might also notice, that is where our photo is from that is on top of the blog now. I figured we should have a photo of us in TN since we live here!)

Biltmore Mansion, Asheville NC

For my birthday, I received 2 wonderful tickets from my in-laws to visit the Biltmore Mansion. It was gorgeous! It is so fun for me to think about how a building was designed and the intricate details and designs that go into them. I love architecture and interior design and even better, I got to spend the WHOLE day with Adam. We drove the 2 hours to Asheville, enjoyed the house tour, some delicious hot chocolate & apple cider, had a little picnic lunch that I packed in the car, then went to a restaurant a friend of ours recommended for dinner. It was such a fun day & I am so glad we got to go!
