CAMPING IN GRAND MESA, CO

For Labor Day weekend, we met up with Troy and Brogan, Brogan's family, and Lance in Grand Mesa, Colorado. Its about an hour away from Grand Junction and it is GORGEOUS! You drive up on top of the mesa and the whole drive is beautiful. We had a blast and Troy & Brogan did an awesome job planning it all. Here are some pictures from our trip!

The Beautiful drive...
Doing some shooting...
Riding the ATV's...

Cooking some delicious Dutch oven desserts...

We saw a ton of bikers at a trail head...
Adam did some fishing at the lake next to our campsite...

Two Handsome Men

Adam's Dad was in town in August for a day or two for some meetings, so we had a chance to go to lunch with him! We always love a visit from family and can't wait until Thanksgiving to see them again!

Also, I just love this picture. Aren't they handsome?

California B-Day Trip

Finally, here are some pictures from our California/B-Day trip. We had so much fun visiting the walk of fame, the Santa Monica Pier; going to Disneyland for my Birthday (we got drenched on Splash Mountain!); eating at In-n-Out, hanging-out at the beach and Downtown Disney; as well as going to the Getty Museum. I got lots of great presents and had a fabulous time hanging out with Adam in California. I can't wait to do it again. :)

College Gameday

ESPN's College Gameday came to Provo last week and we did our best to represent. To bad BYU didn't represent in their game against TCU. :( But we were happy we got our sign on TV (Adam's long arms came in handy) and maybe even our faces for a half second or so. It was lots of fun!

Our Calling keeps us busy...

We had an Olympic themed stake activity a few weeks ago that we were in charge of the decorations for. We were proud of our home made medals and fake torches. (In case you are wondering, that is what the silver thing around the post is with the balloons above it).

Uncle George's Birthday party

We had a lot of fun at Uncle George's party and he was totally surprised! Aunt Diane & my cousins did and awesome job planning it all!

Who drives a dark colored small SUV?

We are on to you...
and THANKS for the COOKIES!

Adam's Birthday cake

I asked Adam what kind of cake he wanted and he said he wanted an Ice cream cake for his birthday, so we went out to get one for him. First we stopped at Dairy Queen - which I think have the best ice cream cakes- but they didn't really have a lot to choose from, so then we decided to go to Baskin Robbins. We started to look at all the cakes and see what flavors/ sizes they had and an employee just couldn't help but stand over us as we were making our selection. So I kindly said, "Thanks for your suggestions, we will go ahead and decide which one we want and then let you know". Apparently to him, this meant Tell me you life story and ask private questions. So we felt super awkward and I was counting down the time to when we would leave, but after we decided what cake we wanted, he asked if we would want anything written on it. So we said sure- write: Happy Birthday Adam!

I don't think our expectations were too high, but we definitely had to hold in the laughter until we walked out of the store. Here's why:

Maybe we liked that he used yellow for the first letter and the exclamation point. Maybe we liked his handwriting. Maybe we were wondering why he is allowed to write on the cakes. Or Maybe we had unrealistic expectations thinking the writing would look slightly better.

Good Quality.

Adam's Birthday

Adam's Birthday was in July- can you tell I am behind in the blog world?- and we had a lot of fun!

In the Morning we went golfing, then we came back for a yummy breakfast & opened presents! Later that night we went to dinner at Red Robin (Thanks Lacey) and then we went to see Transformers 2!

I Love Adam and think he is the greatest so I hope he had a wonderful birthday!
