ANIMAL MASKS

In April I was in Colorado for 3 out of 4 weekends! It was very crazy and I missed having the weekends to recuperate and do normal around the house stuff, but it was also SO FUN to go home and visit. For 1 weekend, Adam and I both were able to go out for Blake's mission farewell! I am so excited for him. He just left the MTC on Wed. and flew out to Minnesota. While he was out here visiting about a month before he left, I took some mission pics of him but will have to post them later...

For 2 of the weekends I was there to photograph weddings and missed Adam. It was the first time we had been apart since we've been married. Anyway- I am almost done editing both of the weddings, and was going to wait to post these when I could post some from that, but I just looked at these pictures again and couldn't wait. It was so fun to see some family! We are lucky enough to go visit Adam's family in July... maybe we will be making some more masks soon :)

Some of them also put on a puppet show...

Thai Ruby

In March, Adam's Mom came out to visit and we had such a fun time with her here! We love it when family comes to visit. We went out to eat one night at Thai Ruby. YUM!

I love Daffodils!

SCHOOL

Well- Class has started up again and spring term at BYU is half over already. I am taking a test every week for 2 of my classes, and the other 2 aren't too bad. Just a lot of work.

maybe this is a good enough excuse for not updating for a few weeks?

DANCESPORT!

Lance dance's with the BYU Ballroom team and let me tell you, he is GOOD! man can he dance. it is so fun to watch him. My parents are big dancers too and I just love watching them too. I love going to dancesport and seeing everyone dance, but then I try to do it when I get home and realize that we all have different talents. ha- maybe I would be good at interpretive dance.

My parents and Brittney came in town for dancesport and we had a great time!!!

INTRAMURALS!

Winter semester, Adam played on a flag football team and I played on a soccer team.

It was nice because my freshman year i became friends with some girls and have played on soccer teams with them every season since. So whenever anyone organizes a team, we all play together. This season was especially nice because my team was AWESOME! Everyone was so good and it really was a lot of fun to play. I played defense all season and the boys on our team were really good, but were also good at passing to all of the girls and treating us as equals. Sometimes when you play with boys, that doesn't happen, but these guys were great! I loved playing on this team!

We did really well the whole season and so intramurals moved us up to the top league for the tournament. For the first few games we killed the other teams with scores like 13-2 and 10-0. Then we hit a hard team and lost, but because it was double elimination, it just moved us to the loser's bracket where we won all of our games and went to the championship. At the championship we ended up losing in over time. It was a bummer, but it was a lot of fun! Here are our team pictures:

LANCE's Birthday!

My brother lance turned 24 in March, so to celebrate, we went bowling and I made the BEST cupcakes. I add a secret ingredient. Then, on Sunday we had a yummy dinner! Happy late birthday to lance!

Date night

Awhile ago, we went out on a fun date with our friends Brandon & Laura. First, we went to bombay house for dinner which was delicious, then we went to a BYU basketball game, then we went to Cold stone creamery for ice cream afterward! We had a lot of fun!

CUTE!

This was a wedding present we got and I think it is cute.

Be good for a change

Adam's Grandpa H* passed away in late February. It was so sad to see him go, but happy because we know we will see him again. Even for the little time that I have known him, I have just loved being around him. He was very funny and very intelligent. It is fun to get to know Adam's family better and to see where he comes from. His Grandparents are so sweet and patient and kind. Abbi was saying that whenever you get to see Grandma H* it gives you the biggest self confidence boost because she cannot stop talking about how sweet, kind, nice, loving, handsome, beautiful, etc. etc you are. What a sweet woman! It is easy to see where Adam's family gets their awesome, positive, happy, and kind outlook on things. Adam's grandpa was also so funny and would say to you when you left after visiting, "Be good for a change".

With the funeral and all, Adam's parents and sisters were able to come in town and we just loved having them here! Adam's mom & I did the flower arrangements for the funeral with white roses symbolizing the children, white tulips symbolizing the grandchildren, and one white calla lily to symbolize his sweet wife. We also did some sprays and I think they turned out well! I could not have done it without dam's mom! We also went through a ton of pictures that were in the house and distributed them to the siblings in the family. It was quite a project but it was fun to go through old pictures with everyone. We were also able to go to one of adam's intramural flag football games and go to dinner one night.

Anyway: here are some pictures! Adam's sister Audra took some WONDERFUL pictures of all of the events. Click here to see them!

LUNCH?

So- every morning, I pack a lunch for Adam for him to take to work. We got a lunch cooler which is convenient, but sometimes I feel like he is eating the same thing over and over again. I try to mix it up for him, but I am wondering if you have any suggestions for what I can make for him...

He gets a lot of sandwiches, soups, and salads.

Any ideas?

SNOWMOBILING!

Last month, we went down to Ephraim to visit Adam's Uncle Joe & Aunt Kjirsten. We had a lot of fun and got to watch his cousin's basketball game for state, went snowmobiling, and played lots of fun games. We had such a blast and love going down to visit them. I got some new North Face snow pants that I was dying to try out, so it was the perfect opportunity, and I love my new snow pants! I am not very good in the freezing cold, and these kept me warm the entire time. Here are some pics from our weekend:

VALENTINE'S DAY

This year was our first Valentine's day married, so I planned a very fun evening! We celebrated our v-day the day before, because on Valentine's day we had a stake Valentines dance we were helping with. I set up a background and took pictures for everyone. SO- the night before, We got all dressed up and went and ate at "The Roof" in Salt lake. It was really good food and it was so fun to be with Adam all night. Then, we went and stayed at a Bed and Breakfast called "The Inn on the Hill". I would definitely recommend it to anyone! The rooms were gorgeous and the prices were awesome. I found it just online because the B&B in Provo that we stayed at the night we were married was already booked. The next day, we had a leisure morning and then were busy all afternoon and evening helping with the stake activity. It was a wonderful Valentine's day!

SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL

I am back.

We went up to Park City with Abbi & Chad C* awhile ago and had so much fun! I think we may have seen a few famous people, its hard to tell, but mainly we had a great time looking at the fun shops and eating at a place called, "The Eating Establishment". Adam's parents went there on one of their first dates, so it was a lot of fun!

Newlywed summer fun

It has been a fun summer! We have had a lot of fun.

We went to the SLC temple a month after we were married with Abbi & Chad...

We went to the Orem fest and had a great time at the carnival, parade, and watching the amazing fireworks show...

My old room mate bethany got married...

We went to a Bee's baseball game!

Some other fun things we have done is we went to a family reunion in Colorado, a pool party with friends, strawberry days rodeo, camping, a trip to Oregon, had birthdays, my cousin Scott's wedding, baby showers, and visited family.
Some not so fun things we did was pack up, clean, move, clean, and unpack. I am not a fan of the whole moving process, but we are loving are new apartment and ward.
I was talking about this with a friend recently, and I was reminded that another thing we have loved is that we don't have to say goodbye when we are ready for bed... we can just say goodnight!
Hope you all have had a fun summer.... and are ready for fall!!!!
